Church according to "the West Wing"

Brodie's been busy finding the parallels between Thomas the Tank engine and the Church. I got the first series of "the West Wing" for christmas and my wife commented that it's quite like the church is intended to be. Now please don't think I'm making any kind of political statement here, but I did notice some parallels myself, namely:
1) The West Wing staff are all part of a community/family, just like the church.
2) We're all working to common goals for a common purpose.
3) The West Wing staff a called to serve their Commander in Chief (P.o.t.US they codename hime in the show): Christians are called to serve the King of Kings.
4) There are many difficulties along the way - it's not as easy as it first seems.

I'm sure there are more parallels, but I found the similarities striking.
